Silfverhjelms Spis & Kamin is a company founded in 1992. The central concern from the outset was environmentally sound business methods promoted through the company's activities and continuing research and development.

The Shop.
In our main sales premises you will find newly renovated, used and newly-made wood stoves and fire-places, cooking stoves and pellet burners. You will also find all the accessories and peripherals required for such equipment. The models range from 1800s-ornamental through 1920s Art Nouveau and 1930s/1950s enamelled fittings to the most contemporary types of fire-places, stoves and burners.

The store.
Over four floors we have a collection of over 300 stoves and over 100 different models to give new life and warmth to a new home. Many fireplaces and stoves that arrive in the workshop are in such an unfortunate state that they cannot be readily fixed. We do not, however, throw these away - we use the spare parts along with new parts in renovation and remodelling. The chances that we will be able to completely renovate a broken fire-place or stove where several replacement parts are needed is therefore very high.

Renovation.
A big part of our work is renovating stoves and burners that our customers bring in. The renovation process involves, usually, complete disassembly, blasting, masonry-work, reassembly and lastly, black-leading where it is needed. Where the piece is especially badly broken we may use welding and other techniques to re-model it. This may be completed with newly made or second-hand parts. Where the object has been made to burn inefficiently we will improve this through modern methods. The result will be, in many cases, a 200-year old fire-place in a condition which is good as new with a more efficient use of energy. We manufacture and sell stove peripherals and consumables such as blacking, pans, ash-buckets and other spare parts.

Pellets.
Lately, Silverhjelms Spis & Kamin has expanded its activity through marketing pellets and the requisite equipment for using these.

New Products.
Silverhjelms Spis & Kamin sells and installs new stoves and fire-places from all over Europe and beyond. We can give advice on different types of chimney mounts. Where a chimney needs renovation we can also give advice on linings and the 'Schiedler' (slide-casting) method.
